Sponsorship for our 5K race, Racin’ for Rescues

Request for participation in our first annual 5K race – Racin’ for Rescues:

The Humane Society of Clark County (HSCC) is a 501(c)3 located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. We are a private non-profit organization and do not receive outside funding from any source. We are asking you to help sponsor our upcoming 5K, Racin’ for Rescues, on Saturday, October 13th.  We would appreciate any monetary donations.  In appreciation for your participation the name of your business will be printed on the back of the t-shirt for the race.  Also, we would love to see the familiar faces of your employees participate in our event.  Please encourage them to walk or run in our Racin’ for Rescues.

The purpose of this 5K is to raise awareness of the shelter’s financial needs.  The expenses that are incurred at the shelter include: feed, litter, supplemental feed, such as kitten and puppy milk, pet shampoo, cleaning supplies, office supplies, and utilities.  Furthermore, when animals enter the shelter they receive a bath, testing for disease, and treatment for internal and external parasites.  Before they leave the shelter, they are spayed/neutered and vaccinated- this is the best-case scenario; many animals enter the shelter malnourished and/or suffering from various illnesses.  Therefore, the cost may be significant.  Additionally, we offer low cost spay and neuter clinics to the community throughout the year.

Also, through your support we are continuing to make improvements to the shelter and create a better environment for the animals in our care.  Furthermore, our shelter collaborates with the legal system and educational groups to provide hours for individuals needing to perform community service.

We hope that you will be able to participate in this important event because your business is a staple of this community. If you choose to support our cause, we would appreciate receiving your donation by Friday, September 28th.  Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Sincerely,

Heather Ojala-Free
